Our Bankside clients wanted a kitchen that felt cozy, inviting, and full of texture and character. We added these handmade, zellige tiles to the backsplash to bring in that character, put open shelves to display personal and easy-to-reach items, and used a warm, creamy white for the cabinets to make it feel a tad cozier than your traditional white kitchen. But perhaps my favorite part of this kitchen is the island/dining table combo. We knocked down a wall (about where you see the outer edge of the island) to open it up to the living room and then incorporated this bench as part of the family's new dining area.
