A Closer Look at our Wood Song Remodel

Our Wood Song remodel project was what dreams are made of - trusting clients, large-scale, a healthy budget, a great contractor, and beautiful taste. To have all those things in one project sometimes feels hard to find, but when it happens, everything seems to just flow and the end product shows it.

For this project, we remodeled the kitchen, half bathroom, primary bathroom, and fireplace as well as replaced all the flooring and lighting downstairs.

The home had great bones and good light, but some choices made by a previous owner weren't exactly in line with the current owners' style or vision for their home. (Scroll to the bottom for the before pictures!)

Our clients knew they wanted a white kitchen, but we were able to add some pizazz with this gorgeous backsplash tile and some much-needed efficiency with an all-new cabinet layout.

Main Cabinets: Pure White (Sherwin Williams), Small Island: Contented (SW)

We also added pendants to one of the islands and trimmed out the columns to take it from builder's grade to custom.

The half-bath was kind of an afterthought - "If we can get to it, great!" - but it turned out to be one of my favorite parts of this remodel. We used a stunning prefab vanity from Pottery Barn, and that, paired with the penny tile floor and floral wallpaper, made for a show-stopping afterthought. ;)

The primary bath is where our client really wanted a total overhaul. The existing bathroom was heavy and dark with some interesting tile and vanity choices. We brightened everything up, making it feel figuratively lighter, too. The overall footprint of the room worked for our clients, so that saved some money by not having to move any major plumbing. In both the kitchen and the bathroom, we mixed metals to give it a timeless feel, but it really stands out here. We love the effect!

Vanity Color: Sensible Hue (Sherwin Williams)

It really does make such a huge difference when clients love our work, trust what we do, and hire great contractors to make it all happen!
